Portfolio-Based Certification

Certificates that prove classroom readiness.

MastaLearn does not deliver content. We build verified classroom competency. Every Portfolio Certification is earned through a practical capstone — a Digital Teaching Portfolio — evaluated against a standard rubric, so that when our graduates walk into an interview they can say: "Here is a 2-week unit plan and graded paper I created using official standards."

MastaLearn awards independently verified, evidence-based professional development credentials. Our pathways prepare educators for curriculum implementation through applied practicums, lesson planning frameworks, and observed teaching practice. MastaLearn programs are autonomous preparatory courses designed for classroom practitioners; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education or the International Baccalaureate Organization. Cambridge IGCSE and IB are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

How Schools View Our Certificates

Is MastaLearn an official Cambridge or IB certificate?

No. Official workshops are offered directly by Cambridge and the IB. MastaLearn provides an independent, applied classroom preparation pathway.

While official workshops focus on institutional compliance and syllabus overviews, MastaLearn focuses on practical, term-long execution: building 100+ hours of lesson plans, command-word rubrics, and completing an observed practicum.

International school leaders value our graduates because our certificates verify that a teacher has already successfully planned and delivered real curriculum units in the classroom.

How it works

From course certificates to portfolio-based certification

To earn a MastaLearn Readiness Certificate, a trainee must submit a Digital Teaching Portfolio, evaluated against a standard rubric by an experienced practitioner. The portfolio is based any assigned practical task and/or one or all of the following;

01

2-Week Scheme of Work

A two-week unit plan for a specific IGCSE/IB/CBC subject, mapped to official syllabus and assessment objectives.

02

Differentiated Lesson Plan

A full lesson plan evidencing support for diverse learners: tiered tasks, scaffolds and extension pathways.

03

Marked Student Sample

A student sample paper graded according to official mark schemes, with detailed, actionable teacher feedback.

Portfolio, not attendance

Every course ends in a Digital Teaching Portfolio evaluated against a standard rubric — a 2-week Cambridge scheme of work, a differentiated lesson plan, and a marked student sample with teacher feedback.

QR-verified certificates

Each certificate carries a QR code linking to a public verification page showing the trainee's portfolio artifacts, capstone grade and the exact syllabus codes covered.

Transcript of competencies

Instead of a simple pass, the certificate lists verified skills, e.g. demonstrated mastery in CAIE 0500 syllabus design, mark scheme analysis and differentiated questioning.

Employer-validated

Courses are written and reviewed by current and former Cambridge heads of department, with school principals and HR directors advising on course outlines — a direct recruitment pipeline.
